You may know from the press that Thomas Cook has filed for Insolvency.

As far as the German subsidiaries are concerned, you can find the following on the organiser’s website.

Current information

The negotiations on the planned recapitalisation of Thomas Cook Group plc have failed.
Thomas Cook GmbH is therefore forced to switch to emergency management. The travel arrangements with departure dates of 23 and 24 September cannot be guaranteed. All travel sales are suspended.

We are currently exploring last options. If these options fail, it will be necessary for us to file for insolvency for Thomas Cook GmbH, Thomas Cook Touristik GmbH and Bucher Reisen & Öger Tours GmbH and possibly also for other companies.

We will contact guests departing on 23 and 24 September as soon as possible. Please refrain from calling our call centres yourself.

The organizer Aldiana is not affected by this insolvency.

As a result, we have cancelled all bookings by Thomas Cook and his subsidiaries (Bucher, Neckermann etc.) and terminated the business relationship with immediate effect.

This concerns both the Oasis and the hotels in Bali (Siddhartha, Alam Anda and Pondok Sari).

Guests who have booked through Thomas Cook should, if they wish to come to us, change their booking to another organiser or book directly with us.

We will refund any dive packages that have been pre-booked directly with us and which cannot be taken. This also applies to the Thomas Cook guests on the Maldives.
