Happy Ramadan

Morgen beginnt der Ramadan. Es ist der Fastenmonat der Muslime.

Die Malediven sind ein islamisches Land und auch fast alle der Angestellten hier auf Zitahli sind Muslims. Sie werden einen Monat lang  von Sonnenaufgang bis Sonnenuntergang fasten. Am Ende des Ramadan erwartet sie das Fest des Fastenbrechens – einer der hoechsten islamischen Feiertage.

Tomorrow Ramadan starts. That’s the fasting month for all Muslims.

The Republic of the Maldives is an Islamic country and most of the staff on Zitahli are Muslims too.

The month is spent fasting during daylight hours from dawn to sunset. In the end of Ramadan there will be the “Festival of Breaking Fast” – one of the biggest Islamic holidays.
