January Madness
Hi All, well we are back on line after a week with no internet, but that still did not stop us having another great month.
We started off the month with Espen Indbjor and Mats Ytterstad who decided that Norway was far too cold this time of year and wanted some warm water diving. Espen completed his Megalodon CCR Deco course and Mats completed his Megalodon Advanced Mixed Gas course. WE had some great dives at Thomay Canyon, Lara wreck at Jackson and a great day out up in Dahab!
Crispin Brake of Eurotek fame (there i said it, where is the t-shirt ?) came over for two weeks to get his Inspo Mixed Gas course done. Helping him along and doing his own course was Rifat Guerboy who did his Inspo Mixed Gas Instructor course. Once Crispin had completed his first course he was joined by Andy Sargent who came out to do his Inspo Advanced Mixed Gas course. Both Crispin and Andy were put through their paces :>> but we still had time to enjoy the dives at Thomas Canyon and again the Lara wreck at Jackson. With a few choice words like >:XX thrown in to encourage them to do better, they both completed the course and were rewarded with some cold beers to relax.
O’Neill wetsuits have been sponsoring us for some time now and the UK and Europe representative came out to enjoy some red sea diving. Tom Copsey and his girlfriend Anna McCoy completed their Advanced Open water course and spent the rest of the time cruising around on the scoters. Both decided that finning was hard work and you could cover more ground with a propeller!
Scooters played a big part this month with Tim Juul, Martin Holensburg and Michaela Meir all completing the DPV licence with dives in Dahab, circumventing Gordon reef and crashing in to Tek divers!!
We also managed to squeeze in some gas blending courses with Stefan Bol and Stefen Serkat.
Lets hope things quiet down in the rest of the country and we can have another great February! Failing that, anyone have a balaclava i can borrow.:>>
