Month of November is over…. Now Roll on Christmas
What a fantastic month with alot of different things going on. Here is a quick update for you all in no particular order. Alan Kearns – Alan first came to Werner Lau Tek in 2010. Due to work he had to take a few years out of the water but this was soon to change. Arriving on the 5th of November he quickly changed his mind on the 2 week holiday and decided to stay until the 6th of December. During his time here Alan has got back into the water and up to speed with skills and drills and enrolled on his IART Level II Inspo Trimix course. After completing the course he has dived almost every day with a variety of guides sampling the best sights around Sharm some of which consisted of – Thomas Canyon, Lara Wreck, Eel Garden Canyon, Dahab Blue Hole, Dahab Canyon, Jackfish Alley, Ras Umm Sid Deep wall and many others 88| Alan on Deco
But CCR diving was not enough in itself so Alan also completed his Tek Scooter course on our new Xjoy 14 scooters  Thorbjorn and Michael– Thorbjorn and Michael traveled out from Denmark to see us. Having a busy dive centre back at home, Oxygene, the decided to take some time to continue their training down the PADI TecRec route. Michael was already a Tec 40 Instructor but wanted to proceed further. Thorbjorn was a Tec 40 user and wanted to gain more depth and experience. Throughout their 2 week vacation they were quickly put through their paces and experienced a new system of team communication, problem solving and dive protocol with up to 5 hours in the water a day  (luckily it was 27 degrees :>> ) At the end of the vacation they both came away smiling. Michael completed his instructor course and Thorbjorn achieved Tec 45 diver. Due to a recurring back problem Thorbjorn had to sit out a few days but managed to get in the water on the last day to try the JJ-CCR. Oxygene Dive Centre Denmark
We look forward to seeing you and your diving centre back out here in Easter next year. Richard Dean– Richard travelled out to the Red Sea from the UK in pursuit of some CCR training. Richards CCR of choice was the ever popular JJ-CCR. During the week Richard was brought up to speed on multiple stage handling, slinging, team protocols and introduced to decompression diving on a rebreather. With alot of time spent in the water over the week we are proud to congratulate Richard on his IART JJ-CCR Level II air dil deco ticket. Richard exploring the small ships cabin in Naama Bay.
We look forward to seeing you in March next year for your trimix upgrade. Malene Lundemann– Malene is a long standing recreational guest with Werner Lau. Through her visits to Werner Lau Malene has seen the ‘Tekkies’ doing there thing. Along side seeing what we do Malene is regularly guided by the highly motivated and Tek loving Jannik Farrup so this holiday she decided to go Tek Lite. During her time Malene completed her scooter course on the Xjoy 7’s and even took the big brother Xjoy 14’s out for regular spins. And if that wasn’t enough she even took the JJ-CCR out for a trial dive on not one but Two Days :>> Malene on the JJ-CCR looking very ‘Trimmed Out’
Sam and Mike Muir – Last but by no means least we congratulate Mike and Sam Muir who completed their TDI advanced Nitrox course whilst on Holiday. Very long standing guests of Ocean college they decided to go Tek. Sorry for the lack of photo’s i managed to delete it on my laptop >:XX We hope to see you again in the near future to complete the Decompression part of the course. So that sums up some of what we have been doing but there is always more in the background. Coming blogs will include – Andrea Zuccari (Freediving), How GUE are you, Suex Scooter updates and much much more.
