Boat Dives

  • The departure of up to 2-3 dive boats (Dhonies) takes place daily at 9.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. The individual travel times to the individual dive sites are between 5 minutes and one hour.
  • Very often 2-tank dives are also offered. For this we will charge US$ 10,–* locally in addition to a boat trip.

Night dives are offered from the boat at least once a week. Day tours and/or 2-tank dives are also offered at least once a week. These lead to manta sites in the season.

If there is a sufficient number of divers, the Dhonies will go to different dive sites, so divers can choose between 3 or 4 reefs each. Reefs of different levels of difficulty are approached. So there is something “right” for every diver.

We offer around 27 different dive sites. The almost untouched reefs promise diving at its best. Manta rays all year round, lots of big fish and even a tiger shark spot!

The abundance of fish in our channels is unbelievable! Shoals of fish in abundance are remind you of the Maldives in the seventies! Encounters with big fish are really common here.

Safety

Oxygen on every boat and a pharmacy with complete emergency equipment and medication are available to the specially trained crew. The recompression chamber in Addu can be reached by speedboat in 30 minutes.
