Maintenance at the House reef

When there are not a lot of divers around the Dive Center we use our time to check up on the lines and buoys on the house reefs. To assure all divers find their way back safely we have installed a system of buoys and lines to mark our exit points. After a while the lines get overgrown by marine life such as sponges, ascidians and stinging hydrozoa and can cause discomfort while holding. Also some buoys were damaged and sunk to the ground and could not be seen anymore. So from time to time we use the spare time on our hands to do some maintenace and cleaning around the house reef and this time we took some pictures for you too 😀
