Sailor’s Eyeball  (Ventricaria ventricosa) ist also known as a Bubble Algae. This metallic looking ball is actually a green algae. We can can find it in all tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It can reach a size of 5 cm and it is one of the largest unicellar organisms. The deepest found was at arount 80 meters. It has a reflecting surface and it really look like a christmas tree ball. It´s believed that if you look into it closely, you can feel the soul of a lost sailor looking back at you.
