The second 10-day safari with MY Sheena this year goes to the North- and to the South-Male Atoll, to Felidhe- and the South- and North-Ari Atoll.

Arrival and departure day at the Male Airport. Welcome on board.We let our guest check in and do all the paperwork first.

After all the paperwork is done and everyone is ready we head over to our first spot.

Dive 1 Fish Factory

Fish Factory is not famous for its beauty but grate for an checkdive. Around the harbour is an enormous amounts of Murray eels and plenty of stingrays.

Dive 1 Banana Reef

Dive 3 Kandooma Thila

Banana reef is beautiful, we face an slow current which carries us through the reef, between the blocks we even found one. Big nurse shark sleeping below the block and two eaglerays and gray reef sharks gliding around the beautiful blocks.

Both dives are awesome at Kandooma Thila. We are there at the right time and moment. Enormous amounts of fish big schools of eaglerays and plenty of sharks. What an grate day!

We start out the day with a manta point. We had a strong outgoing current. We fly through the reef and stop at the cleaning station where finally 3 mantas show up and present us some loopings.

Just like old ones is absolutely insane, an grate dive with loads of fish, we fly through the beatiful overhangs and spot an big school of mobulas and plenty of sharks. It’s Silvertip time, we get down to the deep canyon and wait until 5 huge silvertips show up and circle around us to check us out.

Dive 3 Alimatha

Nice and easy start at miyaru Kandu with slow outgoing current. During the smooth drift we spot two stingrays, some grey reef sharks and one manta ray.

13 eagle rays is an awesome dive. As soon we got to the canyon we see a massive grouper and some eagle rays.

Alimatha nightdive as grate as always with around 60 nurse sharks. The guests love it.

Dive 3 Paradise Rock

Kuderah Thila is awesome, insane amounts of yellow striped snappers and fusiliers make this divespot even more colorful like it is already.

Dhigurah Beyru is super nice, we spot an school of Mobulas and a few greys.

Paradise Rock is full of small stuff and it’s super nicely fully grown with virginia and soft corals. We even spot an sleep leopard shark.

At vilamendhoo thila we are facing an medium incoming current. We see loads of sharks and an big group of eaglerays.

Lucky hell so beautiful, everything fully grown with soft corals in every color. During the dive we spot an Napoleon family.

Fish head is one of the highlights. A great reef with many overhangs with nice corals, sharks and loads of fish, especially wimpel fishes, yellow striped snappers and fuseliers.

Fishhead is the basically the same thing like it has been the previous day: Loads of sharks and loads of fish.

We decide to dive at Maaya Thila two times the loved this place. The divespot has some deep blocks. Some Silvertips and grays been there. Further more we spot a big swarm of barracudas and two giant sepias camouflage on the coral.

Dive 1 Bathala Thila

We decide to head first to Bathala Thila in order to face later a nice incoming current for Maaga Khan Thila.

Bathala thila is pretty nice, we have some gray reef sharks and big whitetips in front of the current split. As well we spot one stonefish.

Maaga Khan is awesome. It was a good decision to wait. We facing a strong incoming current. Loads of gray reef sharks,  big Napoleons and even a manta ray at the end. What an nice dive!

Our first dive leads us through an famous reef which is well known for sharks. We face an strong incoming current. We jump and drift to the blocks where we hold on wait. The sharks are already there and we just keep watching and enjoy the scenery.

Lucky express is an pure drift dive it’s loads of fun, we fly over one kilometer and see two nurse sharks, napoleons and some greys. At the end we find an big block where we had loads of lobsters.

Olahali caves is an smooth dive. We see some swarms of red snappers and small stuff.

Dive 1 Helengeli Thila

Dive 2 Colloseum

An grate end of the tour, Helengeli Thila is just an awesome reef – stunning formations with massive blocks and huge corrals and gorgeous gorgonies.

The last dive at colosseum has a bit of everything, some eaglerays, many stingrays and 3 sleeping nurse sharks.
