Sheena Logbook – 25.03. – 01.04.2018
The week took us from Koodhoo Atoll up north to the Nilandhe Atoll in Filithyoe, the home port of MY Sheena. This week we had fullhouse – all beds occupied…

On the first day of the tour we let all guests arrive and check in. Equipment will be assembled and, as usual, there will be a welcome briefing and the crew will introduce themselves so that everyone knows who they will be dealing with next week.

Koodoo Outside – Viligilli Kandu – Koodoo Kandu
A nice start to the day. Koodoo Outside greets us with eagle rays and big napoleons.
The next canal dives we experience with a light current and a few grey reef sharks and a beautiful baby mobile hole during the safety stop.
27.03.2018
Kuredhoo Kandu – Nilandhoo Kandu
A medium, incoming current allows us to fly to the edges of the canal. Sharks, rays, napoleons and a lot of small fish say hello and greet us in the Nilandhe Atoll. Classical canals with all kind of fish are waiting for us today.
28.03.2018
Hithadhoo Corner – Jackfisch Channel – Dhiamigili Kandu
Nice canal dives with a lot of sharks. At Dhiamigili we had an outgoing current that led us along an intact coral reef to a beautiful leopard shark.
29.03.2018
Olhugiri Kandu – Valley of the Rays – Western Highlight – Fenba Reef
Day 5 aboard of MY Sheena was very multifarious. Canal dives, canal edges and house reef dives – today we had a little bit of everything and a little bit more, namely 3 manta rays dancing around the cleaning station of Valley of the Ray for about 20 minutes.
30.03.2018
Kingdom of Fish – Happy Corner – White Tip Station
An absolutely fantastic day of diving. Clear view and a lot of fish!
Happy Corner stood out from the other dives with a visibility of about 50 meters and made it easy for us to swim over the edge a little into the blue to admire sharks and about 30 eagle rays in formation.
Crazy Friday….

Lucky Reef – Filitheyo Outside
A middle, incoming current blows us together with a few sharks along the dive sites. The last day of diving brings us another stingray, very big napoleons and two very relaxed turtles swimming through a beautiful coral garden. A very successful end to this fantastic trip.
01.04.2018
This tour comes to an end as well. We brought the MY Sheena back to Filitheyo and had some nice weeks in the deep south of the Maldives.
Florian is leaving the ship and will move to Haa Dhalu Atoll in Hondaafushi in the next days to support Kathi and Flo there on the new Werner Lau base. He will be replaced by Ved.
