“Horse Monsters of the sea”!
Blog Oasis – 05.02.2020
Tomorrow, our divers will be once again heading to Marsa Abu Dabbab and if they’re very lucky, they’ll be able to see the resident seahorse!
In honour of this fascinating little fish, we’ve put together some of our favourite facts and pictures for you to enjoy.
Did you know that…
– Just like penguins and swans, seahorses mate for life. Aww!
– Seahorses have no teeth and no stomach, so they have to eat almost continously to stay alive.
– The Latin name for seahorses is Hippocampus, which comes from the ancient Greek hippos, meaning “horse” and kampus, meaning “sea monster”.
