Prachtanemone / Magnificent Anemone

Da wird man doch glatt ein bisschen neidisch wenn man sich die Wohnung von Nemo so betrachtet. Egal ob violett, blau, grün, rot oder braun – es schaut prächtig aus. Daher sicherlich auch der Name – Prachtanemone.

Diese Anemone ist eine wichtige Symbiosenpartnerin der Anemonenfische. Für andere ist sie nesselnd – nicht so für den Anemonenfisch. Daher ist er dort bestens vor Feinden geschützt und sollten wir Taucher seiner Anemone mal zu nahe kommen, könnt ihr beobachten, wie er auf euch zugeschossen kommt, um seine Anemone zu verteidigen. Damit will er euch sagen: Haut ab – das ist meine Wohnung.

One can easily feel a touch of envy when viewing Nemo’s home. No matter if purple, blue, green, red or brown – it looks magnificent. Guess that’s why the name – Magnificent Anemone.

It forms a mutualistic symbioses with the anemonefish. For others the anemone is stinging but not so for Nemo. He is safe and protected there. But don’t you dare to get too close to his anemone. You will find him defending his anemone like hell. He just wants to tell you: Bugger off – this is my house.
