Ferien Insel / Tourist Island

Die Malediven – das sind 26 Atolle mit insgesamt 1200 Inseln. Nur etwa 200 der Inseln werden von Maledivern bewohnt (Einheimischen Inseln). Ca.90 der Inseln wurden zu Touristen Inseln.

Die erste Ferienanlage( Kurumba Village) wurde 1972 eröffnet. Seitdem ist der Tourismus einer der wichtigsten Wirtschaftsfaktoren für die Malediver und trägt zu über 30% zum Bruttoinlandsprodukt bei.  Heute bietet der Tourismus  22.000 Arbeitsplätze. Auf jeder Touristen Insel kommen im Durchschnitt 2-3 Angestellte auf einen Gast. Das heisst hier auf Zitahli gibt es ca. 300 Mitarbeiter die dafür sorgen, dass die Gäste sich wohl fühlen!

Und meist gelingt uns das auch vollkommen!  J

The Maldives – that are 26 Atolls with 1200 islands. Only about 200 – so called local islands – are inhabited by Maldivian people. About 90 islands became Tourist Islands or also called Resort Islands.

The first Resort (Kurumba Village) opened in 1972. Since then Tourism accounts for 30% of the GDP and fosters the overall growth of the country’s economy. These days the tourism provides space for 22.000 employees. On every Resort island there are 2-3 employees per guest. Which means that here on Zitahli there are about 300 employees waiting to fulfill the wishes of the guests.

And most of the time we succeed utterly! J
