Good bye Thapa

Nach fast 12 Jahren auf Filitheyo und 9 Jahren für unsere Basis, verlässt und Heute ein Teil unseres Inventars.:'( Der gute Thapa, bei seinen Arbeitskollegen genau so beliebt wie bei den Gästen. Immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht und für einen Spass aufgelegt.;) Ein paar beachtliche Zahlen: in den letzten 9 Jahren hat Thapa um die 60´000 Tanks an die Einstiege am Hauriff gebracht, oder 720 Tonnen Aluminium. Er hat dabei eine Strecke von ungefähr 16´000 km zurückgelegt, Luftlinie Hamburg-Sidney beispielsweise. After almost 12 years on Filitheyo and 9 years for our dive center, a part of our inventory is leaving today. Good old Thapa, very much liked by the team and guests. Always smiling and good for a joke. A few numbers. The last 9 years Thapa brought around 60´000 tanks to the entry points of the house reef, or 720 tons of aluminum. He was walking roughly 16´000 km or Hamburg-Sidney.

Wir haben ein weiteres BBQ auf der Basis organisiert, zu Ehren Thapas. Er wird erstmal nach in seine Heimat Nepal fliegen, wo ihn seine Frau und beiden Töchter sehnsüchtig erwarten. Nächstes Jahr kommt er vielleicht in die Malediven zurück. Vielen Dank Thapa und alles Gute für die Zukunft. We organized another dive center bbq in honor of Thapa. He will go back to Nepal were his wife and two daughters are waiting for him. Next year he might come back to the Maldives. All the best in your future Thapa.
