Unter dem Sturm schwimmen die . . . Beneath the storm swims a . . .

Ganz schön stürmisch heute!!!! Die Gaeste hier wundern sich – sollte auf den Malediven nicht eigentlich immer die Sonne scheinen, das Meer Spiegelglatt sein und das Wetter schön. Wo ist dieser wolkenlose Himmel hin? Wir haben doch das Paradies gebucht! Unsere Tauchelr alerdings wissen warum sie ausgerechnet diese Jahreszeit gewaehlt haben. Es ist die Zeit wo wir die Chance haben Mantas zu sehen. Natuerlich ist da auch jetzt keine Garantie fuer  – aber die Chancen sind gross.
Anton macht gerade seinen Advanced Kurs mit uns und spang fuer seinen StrömungsKurs ins Wasser. Es war zwar werde Strömung noch war die Sicht gut aber dafür konnten wir 2 riesige Manta Rochen sehen. Antons Gesicht hellte sich auf. Wen stört schon das schlechte Wetter wenn man die Begegnung mit 2 Teufelsrochen hat. Mit diesem Gedanken im Kopf tauchen wir wieder auf und werden doch tatsaechlich von der Sonne begruesst! Na also – alles Perfekt!

It´s stormy weather today and we can see the guests in the resort wondering: Isn´t the sun supposed to be shining, the sea as flat as a mirror? What happened to a cloudless blue sky? Didn´t we sign up for paradise? But our divers know why they´re here this time of the year. It is for the chance of seeing manta rays. Which of course, even now,  is still based on luck. Anton who is doing his advanced course with us, plunged in for his first current dive. There was no current, not much visibility, but enough to see two gigantic manta rays gliding through the water!! A big smile on Anton´s face appeared, never mind about the stormy weather! With that in mind we started ascending towards the surface, not knowing yet, that the warm Maldivian sun had come back to warm us up on the boat!
